Borat is banned in Russia

Wow wow wee waa! Less than three weeks before a feature film about Borat (the character created by Sacha Baron Cohen) was to open in Russian movie theaters, the Federal Culture and Cinematography Agency refused to license it out of concern that the film could offend audiences in this country.

In turn Russia will rerun Rocky IV.

    the movie was made in Romania….you can check…almost all the people in the movie are speaking romainan
    so they should enjoy this funny movie…

    You kiddin’ right? The concept of that character *is* to be offensive. That’s the whole point. That’s actually the whole point of having a sense of humour. Mocking people and laughing at them is offensive.

    I personally walked out 15 minutes into this movie, it was the most vile and idiotic film i think i have ever seen. i will not pay money to go see people make fun of mentally il people, or our country’s respect for females.

    I’ve seen some of his other work. It’s okay, but it gets annoying quickly. Plus, people have been quoting him way too much for the past year or so.
