The virtual air guitar
Keep on rocking in the free world! As if the iKaraoke wasn’t enough, now we have a virtual air guitar.
Researchers at the Helsinki University of Technology have developed a system that consists of a pair of orange gloves, webcam, TV screen, and a “start pedal”. When you swing the right hand as if you were strumming a big chord, that’s exactly what happens. Now move your left hand along the imaginary neck and strum again – it’s a different chord.
Kinda neat, even though I am always under the impression that all air guitarists are just slightly crazy.
