Oh no ya dundin’t – N. Korea threatens US with nuke

Time to put your head between your knees and kiss your *** goodbye? In the wake of a recent successful nuclear test, North Korea is now throwing its nuclear muscle around with an in your face direct threat to the US.

Communist North Korea has threatened to fire a nuclear-tipped missile unless the U.S. takes action to resolve its standoff with Pyongyang, according to the South Korean news agency Yonhap.

The unnamed North Korean official who issued the threat said the intent is to bring Washington to the negotiating table.

“We hope the situation will be resolved before an unfortunate incident of us firing a nuclear missile comes,” the official said yesterday. “That depends on how the U.S. will act.”

Thoughts? Opinions? Concerns? Is this threat something worth worrying about? Does N. Korea even have an ICBM capable of hitting US soil?

The last test of IRBM (Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile) didn’t really work out all that well for them, so I certainly have my doubts about their ICBM stock.

    But…who knows?

  • M

I guess there is no need to worry if you live in US. Just like always, the ones that will get bombs on their head won’t be US, but nearby countries that are sponsored by US, and used as their base for meddling in other peoples affairs.

  • bojon

i dug my bomb shelter, got lots of porn, tissue, crackers and pepsi.
let it rip mothafucka you can eat my american shit.

  • SMASH

for real tho.. if i was the pres. and soemone said they were gonna nuke my ass… you better beleive i woudl be liek huh WHOOPS and hit hte big red button and drop a bomb on there ass and make them realsie that i dont fuck around

niggas got people to protect in this great land of america and shit has to be done to show that we aint scared and that this is and will allways be the land of the free…

altho they keep taking away freedoms haha

  • http://gnostinews.com Earl

    Don’t worry, guys.

If we get hit, we’ve got enough nukes in our subs to completely eliminate North Korea…

And we would, regardless of who the president is/was/will be…

  • Rick

I’m just waiting for their ICBM to fail and land on top of them, solving the whole problem.

“I’m just waiting for their ICBM to fail and land on top of them, solving the whole problem.”

haha that woul be better then just bitch slapping someone haha

Being the ONLY country to ever use a nuke in an act of war, I think they’re messing with the wrong people!

  • http://acecombine.com dov

    you better fear over there!!!
soz that’s what your government want! :)

and yes.. Jerry’s got a point..
many country has nuclear weapons, but only USA used atomic bomb so far..
and they talking who should use what?! :D
    kinda lol..

until USA gets it’s biggest profit from selling weapons to the world,
we can watch terrorism, and wars to end.. they won’t..
    wake up guys!

For being the world police, there is always a threat. Where other countries usually like to speak and negotiate, US goes and screws things up for rest of us. The rednecks says “WE WON THE VIET NAM, LETS TOAST THE DAMN -people with different culture, manners, behaviour, politics, personalities, …- BECAUSE WE WONT WORK THAT WAY!”

North Korea is a threat, but only because they live in fear. Or is there any other reason than fear to uphold one of the worlds largest standing armies, now with possible nukes?

All of this could have been evaded, if US would have agreed the direct conversation with North Korea, but no… It’s pretty much the one reasonable thing, what they asked for… But no…
As US being the only country ever used a nuke, I hope it stays that way. And by that I dont mean that they should nuke first, which some of you freaks already thought.

I dont live in fear, but I think too many people in US lives. I suggest watching Moores Fahrenheit, just to be ready for the speeches what your war president has tend to keep…

  • websnap

um, how credible is the website?

Also keep in mind, with as many enemies the US have right now Iran , I’m sure N. Korea would be some what supported if a war was to break out. Not completely safe, but supported enough to make it a long service and make you wonder how we got sucked in to this in the first place. IF, big IF, this is true I hope it doesn’t turn in to a dick measuring contest. Don’t need another ugly war that we can’t get out of.

JJ -> please don’t say direct talks would have avoided the situation. You forget N. Korea agreed to 2 separate treaties with the US in the past 3 administrations and went back on both of them. Blaming anyone but N. Korea is ridiculous. I

  • http://klogged.wordpress.com Kyle

oh also their test looks like it was a completely failed test, didn’t get anywhere near nuclear. Still reason to put some serious sanctions on them, but no reason for me to walk around scared.

  • ND

This is why o live up in Canada! :P

  • chad

    @ND

with N. Korea’s joke of a missle program you’re not safe in Canada… the might end up hitting you guys on accident ;)

  • JJ

Kyle, didnt they also want a non-agression treaty from United States, US didnt write that either… I am not saying that direct talks between US and N.Korea would have been succesful and solve this situation, but why not even try?
Its bad politics to shoot first, then ask… But that seems to be the only way nowadays.

N.Korea is indeed the guilty one, but other countries shouldnt make it even worse.. Then the shit really hits the fan.

Dont worry ND, the fallout might affect Canada as well…

I’d say in this situation, we should just swallow our pride and resolve everything – but not be much of a pushover. We should remind them we’ve got nukes too. I’d just like to see an attempt to make things better before any bloodshed.

If America even thought a nuke was heading over they’d scramble jets and cruisers to shoot it down…… though a militant way is never the only options…. you must always leave yourself and your enemy another alternative besides war…. not much good comes from war…… the only good thing is better defenses, medical care, and a safer feeling for a little while……. but the cost is always great…….. if a war broke loose in the first 45 minutes of the conflict an estimated half the population of Seoul will be killed from conventional weapons….. 5 million people….. war may seem like the only solution some times….. but in this case it’s not the best one….. north Korea would perish…… but so would all the innocence….. their totalitarian ruler is a mad man…… he must be stopped from harming anyone….. and we need not lash out and destroy his nation for it…… the potential for MAD (mutually assured destruction) is low….. due to the inherent lack of allies with nukes that Korea has…. in this case it’s more like KAD (Korea assured destruction)…… they would become the sea of Korea…. that is unnecessary….. they also need to be shown that touting around nukes is a bad idea….. and that other countries shouldn’t bend to their whim…… “power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely”…. but we will wait and see….. and in the end….. maybe we’ll come out of this with one less communist totalitarian state or maybe we’ll come out of this with one more denuclearized state…… just hope whatever happens happens soon and happens quickly…… no sense in waiting…….

  • Jon

they do.. it landed in alaska

  • Chris Smith

Bottom line is that we HAVE been talking to N.Korea all along. Then they go brandishing weapons around. We do not go pointing and shouting saying…. we’ll kill you, we want more power. The South Koreans have been oppressed and bothered by that crazy guy up north. That Chavez guy in Venezuela South America (that caled Bush a devil? please.) has his country in a headlock. Castro’s got people swimming across the high seas to get to America. Saddam ran people through shredding machines, buried people alive and torched oil fields. If you have a bully at school do you care if he likes you or not? Who cares what these dictators think!

Also, this anti-american rhetoric is just a bunch of talk. I travel all around the world to India, Asia, Europe, etc and never have any trouble. We keep repeating that people don’t like America yadda yadda, and it just aint true. We actually need to stop that, because if you repeat something long enough then you’ll start to believe it. Don’t believe everything you see, hear, or read. Think for yourself.

One demonstration detonation of a US mini nuke over the following sites might change the tone a bit: Pyonngyang, Damascus, Beijing, Teheran and perhaps Caracas.

VERY VERY high up, a low-yied shot just as a demo to help all understand what’s what. No radiation, maybe just a little EMP effect.

And since I’m dreaming how about the following: the US goes full-bore into alternative energy, we close the borders (seal them tight), do a head count and boot out all illegals, bring the death penalty back nationwide and reduce the crowds in prisons, bring our troops home from everywhere except Hawaii, Alaska, the lower 48, Guam, the V.I. then make Puerto Rico decide on Statehood or not, make English the MANDATORY national language, end bilingual education (learn English or else, so I don’t have to worry if the clerk in the donut shop can get my coffee order right or not) and I get to have dinner with Stephanie Miller.

    Oh well…
