How much does my iPod hold?

ipodcalc.jpg

1,000 songs in your pocket. I don’t think so! I love all my music encoded my at least 320bit AAC quality. Will that fit 1,000 songs on my nano. Don’t think so!

Enter iLounge’s iPod Storage Calculator (Why didn’t they just put an “i” in front of every word?), a handy little web tool that lets everyone figure out how many songs their pod can hold, at the bit rate of their choosing.

iLounge has really worked hard on this wonderful too, and paid close attention to detail. The even included a menu that lists the storage capacity of every iPod even manufactured.

Get a bigger ipod , price you pay for being an audiophile, we all pay a price for what we want.

    Wow…
Didn’t know… that the bigger your iPod can hold, the more space it’s “OS” will use… for example.. my nano 1st gen OS uses 270 meg of the 4 gig memory… Meanwhile, the all mighty 80 gig one OS will use almost 5.5 GIGS of it’s memory. Ouch. That’s more can my whole iPod can hold LOL

my ipod (mini) is doing what it was intended to do so far, i have about 500 songs on it right now (taking off the bad ones that i dont listen too) and it still has 2 gigs left, i’m still amazed on how not even a little more than 5 years ago something this small was barely known about to hold this many songs and be so portable!!
