Flying Windows Screensaver

From the website:

You are not using your windows ? Fenêtres Volantes make them fly ! After some idle time that can be set in the System Preferences, the windows take off the screen and flutter in the void. On a mouse move, the windows immediately come back and stuck to their original position.

This screen saver shows off the true power of core video. Sorry kids, Mac only (10.4 systems to be specific).

Not ideal if you are the kind that Apple-Tabs naughty web sessions to answer a call. Your girlfriend wouldn’t enjoy the images flying around. Well it could always be a “virus”…

Unfortunately, there’s no anti-aliasing on the windows.
This is not a programming error, but a fun little tidbit of CoreImage.

I used it for a bit, but then i wrote a screensaver and i like mine better ;)

I’ve been using this for less then a day, and I’m pretty sure this will be my screensaver for a very long time. I bet Apple will buy the intelectual property and add it to 10.5 surely. It’s that good.

“This is a new screen saver we’ve added. Go to the hotspot and BOOM!”

Can’t wait to see the improvements on it.

It’s still in beta, so i’m looking forward to the final product. It feels like a natural transition to and back from the screen saver.
