Doom doom dooooom.. IE7 final released
Hear that? The distant sound of drums beating? It’s code monkeys making sacrificial offerings to the browser gods. We’ll hear the distant drums beating more often over the next few months as the world over begins to make the transition from Internet Explorer 6 to *gasp* Internet Explorer 7.
Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP is now available for download – so says the IEBlog. I’ve been running the pre-releases of IE7 concurrently with IE6 for those lonely nights when I feel like racking my brain while previewing my own work online.
There’s a lot of hoopla going on for the latest release of IE7. Most notable is an optimized version of IE7 for Yahoo.com. Apparently .com services are going to be custom tailoring the latest IE release to better suit their audience. Mmm, can you say users-will-willingly-download-bloated-browsers?
Good luck to you all who decide to make the move to the latest release of IE7.
