Broadband – A connection users can’t live without

In a recent US / Canadian study conducted by the In-Stat, results conclude that broadband connectivity is the one service that individuals can not live without. Keep in mind that the survey was conducted in multi-user households which would obviously be too much for a standard dial-up connection to accommodate.

Broadband is not just a luxury, it’s a necessity, according to a new report by In-Stat. Users from six different “lifestyle” groups in both the US and Canada were surveyed, and all six segments rated broadband “the communication service they can least live without.”

If given the choice between broadband internet, cell phone service, or cable television, who wouldn’t pick a broadband internet conneciton?

    Broadband comes third on my last of necessities, right after electricity and water.

    I could definitely live without radio, TV, POTS but in no way could I live without the internet: it is my source of information (newspaper websites), music, television and all sort of entertainment.

    Funny thing is I buy lesser and lesser magazines as the information seem now to be stale to me comparatively ot hte internet.

    Choices of Cable TV, cell phones and high speed ‘net? No choice, the high speed stays. I’d event take dial-up compared to those choices.

    I like my Sat Radio though… And Netflix would cover the TV easily.

    Dial Up is still the main conectivity here. Broadbrand is way too expensive.

    Using broadband will make you a spoiled brat. I imagine when someone use broadband at home and forced to use slow connection at work, i think they are gonna die.

    yeah JM, and most indonesian is still living in caves..well some are though at east part :)

    Exactly! Anyone in the world who is not interested in browsing the net, downloading movies, music, software, sending emails, social networking, chatting, dating and even watching online videos and porn? Thus, broadband is meant to be a God of this digital world.
