Apple updates MacBook Pro’s to Core 2 Duo’s

Apple updated their MacBook Pro line today to the new Core 2 Duo chip. I can imagine the seat squirming of current MacBook Pro owners who may have purchased their shiny machines a little too early. The new Core 2 Duo powered MacBook Pro’s are boasting a 39% performance increase over the previous Core Duo lineup.

Don’t you just hate it when technology updates itself every few months making your shiny version look a little more dull?

May I be the first to say…
    …NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

It even has dual layer burning and a firewire 800 port! It comes with 120Gb as standard as well as 1GB or RAM… not the mention the speed bump…
    :o

Makes my 20 month old 1.5Ghz Powerbook G4 look even more sad. I’m going to have to start selling my bodily fluids again. *sigh*

But seriously, these are some real spec bumps. 1GB of RAM with the Core 2 Duo processor. Very nice.

Comes with 2gb of Ram and the 256mb video card standard now. That cost the same as well. I got the 15″ for 2500 bucks when it came out and they discontinued my specific version 1 month after it came out. ANd lowerd the price. lol

    Gotta resist the urge now…

Ok Apple, release core2duo MacBooks with something else than an integrated video card and I won’t be able to say no any longer!

Makes me glad I’m broke, and couldn’t replace my G4 (“blazin’”ly fast, er, make that >0.5 Ghz) yet. Although of course, if I buy one of these next month, they’ll replace it with something even cooler.
