AIM Light? Just what the doctor ordered
Finally! AIM moves in the right direction and releases a light version of its overly bloated Triton client (and all the other ad-laden pieces to come out of production). Prior to AIM Light, any sane user was forced to run a 3rd party utility (AIM Adhack) to clean the application of any nefarious software bits.

No more need to go through all the trouble. If you’re hell bent on using AIM software rather than something like Trillian or Gaim, check out the latest AIM ES.
AIM Light has no ads, no VOIP, no file-transfer, and a TINY footprint… in fact, I think it is the lightest IM client you run on your machine. This is something you could run on OLPC level machine (yes, I know it’s a Windows product right now, but you get the idea). #
I’ve taken it for a little spin on Windows XP via Parallels and am quite impressed. Who needs VOIP or file transfer?!
