Tecmo Super Bowl – 2006
Take a trip back in time, you’re 6 years old, the year … 1988… the place, a TV, possibly a floor model. You, Nintendo controler clutched in hand the screen flickers, a badly drawn pixelated rabbit flickers on the screen in its 8 bits of color amazement. After transversing the menus presented before you are on a square football field with stars like Joe Montana, Deion Sanders, Jerry Rice, and Jr. Seau.
Fast forward, now you’re 23 and everytime you play a game on your xbox(360), PS(1/2/3) deep in the back of your mind you think “Super Tecmo Bowl” the game that began the legacy.
The Tecmo Repository has posted a completely-updated 2006 version of TSB, with current rosters (I believe it even has Deion Branch on the Seahawks), uniforms, and logos. All you have to do to get it is register for an account at the Repository, activate it via e-mail link, and go to this link for download. Oh, and you also need some kind of NES emulator; personally, I prefer NESticle. Also, I must stress that for legal reasons, you have to actually own the original cartridge of Tecmo to use the ROM.
