Screw the Tamagotchi, get a virtual ant farm
Why experience the world when you can live it virtually? Practically everything is VR, so if you insist on having a virtual pet, make sure it is a cool one. Bandai (The same folks who make the Tamagotchi ) is set to release an electronic ant farm costing $69, and is actually targeted for stressed out cube dwellers.
Kinda a funny idea, until you realize that you are the target demographic.
