Things to do when bored: Lightpen Tricks

First off, I don’t want to insult the skills it probability took to make this animation, however, you know you are a geek when you are making little duckies with a lightpen and a computer in a bar. Am I off base here?

I call Bull$h!t. Especially when the square character breaks in to little pieces, there is no light trail connecting them. Unless he turned the pen on and off at such a speed there would be a light trail, even then, the first block would be gone. It’s called the speed of light for a reason. Visually cool, but realistically impossible.

It’s certainly impressive, but I doubt it’s real. Still, it might have been done by stringing together a bunch of shots and such like. It’d be interesting to slow it down.

Uh, there’s no “Read More”… (And I second the bull$hit)

I think it’s true. Look at the girl’s laptop. She must have some sort of software which aids her in her designs. – Just a guess.

    can anyone say after effects?

  • neat stuff

Have some faith. They probably took alot of long exposure stills and gof animated them. Not all that hard to do actually. Just time consuming. However they did it it’s great. Plus why bother to fake THIS of all things in after effects.

Simple photography trick… Long exsopures on each picture… Just watch the back ground and you can tell each was taking over a period of time on a webcam. Each frame was drawn in seconds but still amazing when they put them all together… That’s a lot of pratice and work.

Gif animated I meant. Yeah I agree with above dude.
