Cover loving mofo

Okay, I’m a cover loving mofo, granted. Frankly I love it when people take songs and rip them completely out of their genre and thus make them the same, but different. If you are confused as to what I mean, look into a band called “Me First and the Gimme Gimmes”. Okay enough of that, I posted the video of Mat Weddle playing “Hey Ya” earlier and it seems other people enjoy this kind of thing as well.

As a follow up I am posting one of my all time favorite covers. Scottish band “Travis” performing “Hit Me Baby One More Time” live…. truely an awesome undertaking!

    I too enjoy a good cover. There is this guy who does all lounge style covers of songs. I think his name is Richard Cheese, but it is really funny.

    You should definetely check out the Punkles (punk + Beattles) they rock. Also if you haven’t heard Nina Gordon’s cover of straight out of Compton you are definetely missing out.

    Sweet. I, too, love a good cover. I can’t get over Weddle’s Hey Ya. I keep listening to it over again and again.
