Why would the Coca-Cola Company sue themselfs?

OK, I understand the advertisement is showing that the two drinks have the same taste, which would not be the case with Diet Coke in comparison.

It is the sueing aspect that I don’t get.

Yes I am overthinking things… us Americans thend to do that.

This is not funny at all and infact sad. I’m from the States though now that I’ve seen this commercial I wish I lived elswhere.
