Sony to release (iPod like) white PSP

Yeah, that ad is wierd. Not sure of the message they are trying to send with a fierce white woman grabbing a frumpy looking black woman. Especially since they released the black psp in the first place. ? I normally hate over-reactions to PC issues, but I would say some “racial concerns” are validated.

Is that the only improvement? I cant see sales soaring from just changing the color.

So now your saying that the Apple invented the colour white ? I mean,appearantly everyone which uses the colour white rips of Apple than.

Black and White electronic stuff always was popular because it looks really nice,don’t act like Apple invented it with the Ipod.

Even Apple’s used the “if it’s already boring, just change the color” approach. Take a look at the original iMac. Once people became familiar with it, Steve pushed out a new multicolored line to spark new interest. Of course, the new machines were labeled fruit colors, unlike the above black and white. I doubt anyone complained of “fruitism.”

White PSP has been available in Japan for quite sometime. Its a favorite import among us gamers.

i donno, i think a white psp wouldnt go too far, that is if they are only changing the color. if they are going to change a little of its software then maybe. BUT! then you get into the white is better than black racial argument.
in the end dual screen is much better and it satrted as white!

Everyone is reading into this ad too much. I see a woman taking control of another woman.. presumably in a very dark room (illuminated by a white PSP). There you have it folks… ;)

I agree with juicy, everyone is just trying to make something out of nothing.

You just can’t please everyone! Surely the fuss about this ad is slightly overdone. What would have happened if a white woman was taking control of another white woman? Would the black community feel excluded?

What if the poster had a white man grabbing a black man’s face. Would femminists feel discriminated against? The possibile ways of offending someone are endless.
