empty contents into plastic bottle
poke a hole in the cap (for the fuse)
tilt upside down (so contents make contact with the fuse)
turn on side and light (contents should keep some contact with fuse)

Take 3 grams of fine mesh aluminum powder, 7 grams of potassium perchlorate, as well as some firework shells and fuses. Sift and mix the powders, pour 3 grams of it into a 3/4 inch thick paper tube.
