Listen to your music collection anywhere

When you have a rather large music collection, it kinda is hard to always cary around your tunes. And you know when you load up your iPod or MP3 player you forgot to copy on your favorite song. Vibe Streamer hope to try and solve this problem by allowing you to stream your music anywhere.

From Justin:

[It is} very simple to set up. it uses less memory than most of my media players ( only around 4k) so I've actually [began to use] it as my primary, since I half web open 90% of the time. The accounts were easy to setup and everything from how many users could use that account to how many MegaBytes a day they could use. The one thing that [Vibe] doesn’t have many options is the groups. [Permissions to listen to music are assigned at the folder level] so then you could keep [certain music] folders private.

Well, I guess using folder based permissions is the best, I don’t need the world knowing I have the Backstreet Boys greatest hits (DAMN IT, now you know!) But sorry Mac users, this is Windows only. Mac and Linux users might be interested in using SlimServer which does practically the same thing as Vibe, as well as add the option to stream your music to your smartphone.
