IRC love song

Do you remember the dark days of IRC? I must have quit Mirc for the last time about 3 years ago, but apparently there are still people who are in love with the chatting system. So much so, Basshunter wrote a love song about an irc bot called Anna, and has a music video to support it. This must be the coolest geeky song ever.

    Wow. That clip has some beats. I just stepped into my first IRC chat room about four days ago. Am I late in the game?

    they’re swedish.. apparently it startet out as some kind of a joke, and the video was shot in one afternoon…the song is plaing everywhere over here (in sweden).. the beat is ok but it’s not like it’s the best music comeing out of sweden..(just so you know)

    but for a IRC geek it must be heaven….=)

    this song has hit big here in sweden, where basshunter is from. Don’t know why though. And its not even the nerds that likes the song – its the 14 year old girls that is listening to it.

    God knows how many conversations started out that way for me. Derek I joined my first IRC chatroom about 5 years ago! It was the post school hang out for me. Then we’d spend the next day at school talking about what was said online. Everyone wishing to become moderators one day….. *sigh*

    Somehow I miss those days.

    First there’s a song about an IRC chat room bot and now there’s one called, Vi sitter i Ventrilo och spelar DotA, which sings about an MMORPG. Super LOL!!
