That’s one f*@%ing big fine!

It looks as if Janet Jackson’s boob flash is still leaving nipples ripples of conservative reform in the broadcasting world (and by ‘world’ I mean America).

Saying the f word on air might now cost TV and radio stations $325,000 a pop. This new legislation approved by congress is to be signed by Bush soon. Up from $32,500 per violation, this new legislation has certainly f*ed many people who previously could afford to swear.

Thank goodness the Yankee laws haven’t tried to f*@^ freedom of speech on blogs yet. Otherwise this postwould cost me $975,000.

This is really ridiculous. The government cuts taxes and aims to make money this way. Innovative. What would people do about those shows that ride on profanity? What about the people who enjoy hearing profanity on television shows?

Oh yeah, the good old freedom of speech topic…

I found a somewhat related article on the web:

Swearing is o.k on u.k tv after 9pm, and a bit of titty flash wouldn’t even get anyone into a lather.

In Japan, there is even a historical temple dedicated to “fuck”:
