Replay TV Reborn
By a show of hands who remember ReplayTV. Anybody? Well Replay TV and TiVo back in the late 90′s were fighting for control of the still fledgling DVR market. In many ways the ReplayTV DVR far far superior to the TiVo. But that’s enough of a history lesson.
It seems that ReplayTV is working on a second act. Yesterday they sent out an email blast announcing the ReplyTV PC Edition. ReplayTV is expected to ship this fall for $100, but there are no details on what the $100 gets you. AS it stands now it’s terribly overpriced competator to Windows MCE, Yahoo, and BeyondTV. Guide data is included for the first year, but will cost $20 for subsequent years which puts ReplayTV at a serious disadvantage.
None the less is you are a ReplayTV fan this should simply warm your heart.
