OMG – The New York Post

I think for the first time in history, I have no comment.

The ball is in your court readers. (This BTW is NOT a Photoshop job, this is todays front page on the Post)

That is so sick and disrespectfull., not towards the terrorist but towards all Muslims. I would have laughed my head off if it were an emailed pic, but it shouldn’t be found on the front page of a serious publications.

    Disgusting.

  • roberto Felgueiras

that is sick. just adding fuel to the fire.

  • Roger

    ClaMs,

You have clearly never read the New York Post, it is among what reasonable people call “serious publications.” Rather, it’s pretty much Fox News to Go.

  • http://www.uneasysilence.com Dan

    Fox News on the Go.

    I MUST remember that.

  • Roger

Whoops, of course I meant that post is NOT to be considered a “serious” publication!

  • mac

The Chicago Sun-Times has the same picture. I agree the picture is sick. So much for journalism.

And many people wonder why some islamists get angry and radical.

  • http://brownking.blogspot.com Vman

I guess we’re treating him with the same amount of respect he treated our troops with.

  • Jon

what’s so good about a virgin anyways… don’t you want an experienced partner

  • Neil

He won’t be warming up any virgins with the bits he’s got left!

  • Emory

    @Vman
So an eye for an eye is the right thing to do? To wrongs don’t equal a right, this is just adding fuel to the fire and getting more people angry at us, if that’s even possible now, (thanks to the great publications such as The New York Post and Fox News)

  • Capitalist

Well guess what… I like it. He deserves to be ridiculed posthumously. Let’s remember who he was and what he did. Geez.

  • http://www.mgroves.com boohiss

This guy beheads civilians and attacks our soldiers, and the NY Post is tasteless for putting a stupid cartoon bubble on his picture?

  • dantino

i have to agree that the image is offensive to the muslim community in general and show a poor level of professionalism from the New York Post.. It’s opium for the masses.

  • http://smurfturf.net/ xSmurf

Isn’t that a violation of the Vienna convention? Is the press subject to it or are only armies? Are they simply stupid or something? They didn’t get the point after the caricature episode???

  • ClaMs

    Boohiss,

Tasteless is tasteless in any circumstance. Nuff said.

  • http://smurfturf.net/ xSmurf

my bad… I meant the Geneva Convention… I guess my body still hadn’t processed that caffeine.

  • mixamillion

does anybody remeber the newyork post’s headline on 9/12/01. it read “THOSE BASTARDS”.

  • NyaR

well its geared toward a generally christian audience, and is supposed to be promoting hate toward the “enemy” rather then political correctness. Countries usually dehumanize their enemies with shit like this, look back at some ww2 posters of the japanese.

anyways i thought it was hillarious

  • Roy

Now just feed him to the pigs [as in farms animals] so he can’t get to his heaven.

  • rVEO

I can understand how you guys can see the racist speech bubble as offensive, But the photo? I mean I don’t know about you guys overthere but all the tv news channels here in the UK have shown that photo and even are more highbrow lefty newspapers such as The Guardian have used that photo for their frontpage. And no ones seems to have been offended by it, So whats the big deal?

  • http://naser.r8.org/blog naser

I dunno if anything I say would be of any good or not….but terrorist or not, serial killers or American psycho or maybe someone else with equal sins on his backpack shouldn’t be portrayed like this :( I mean, what that dude has done will turn up as Hot poker in his hiney when he reaches hell/some shitty place, but still I don’t think “NY Post” should’ve made such a frontpage publication

  • Roger

    rVEO,

You’re right, that picture was everywhere, because a huge copy of it was hung up at the press conference. And I agree with you, showing the photo of the dead bastard isn’t offensive. But the Post is doing what it always does, which is rally the political base and mock everyone else.
