Lion kills man preaching to God

It seems like we hear about these types of stories at least once a year. When are these religious extremists going to learn that lions and bears don’t listen to prayer?

A lion killed a man who climbed into its enclosure in the Ukrainian capital’s zoo, police said Monday.

The lion attacked the 45-year-old Ukrainian late Sunday after he used a rope to climb down into an enclosure with four lions, said Kyiv police spokesman Volodymyr Polishchuk.

Ukrainian TV channel NTN broadcast interviews with witnesses who said the man told them that he wanted to test God, believing that God would not allow the lions to hurt him.

I have yet to hear about religious folks poking at Great White sharks testing their own beliefs. What happened to the smaller, more realistic, tests of faith?

    If one of these individuals ends up making it out alive, they lucked out in that the zoo keepers probably went around and fed the beasts.

    –*note* what I’m going to say may seem like some stupid preaching, but it is really a question, so don’t take it the wrong way.

    well.. didn’t the religious people realize, that if they had to test if god would protect them it is just them testing if god exists and by existing that he would do what he says he would, so really god will punish those who need to test if god really exists, and questioning if god exists is really questioning his belief in god.

    If that paragraph seems all scrambled up, i know, its late. =\

    Come to think of it it might have been God’s will.
    Maybe the lion prayed to have a nice bit of religious meat, and the man was doing God’s work.

    You never know!

    But surely the lion’s reaction was “Jesus Christ that was a good meal!”
