Interesting video about Net Neutrality to help others better understand it.

The only thing I don’t get, can the US congress decide MY net neutrailty as a European?

This video is not to help us “understand” it, it’s propaganda made to scare us.

If you believe regulation of the internet is bad, then you should be against net neutrality. Net neutrality could be a very good thing, but if you let the government regulate the internet now, what’s to stop them from taxing email, or applying FCC content rules?

Clams: net neutrality applies to ISPs, not to users. ISPs in Europe would obviously not have to follow laws from other countries.

while i entirely agree with net neutrality, the video has a very propaganda feel (with the techno in the background and some clips being mere phrases taken possibly out of context)

it is propagandaish… granted, but I think it does help explain of WHAT net neutrality is, in the most extreme sense.

Yes, as a European the US congress will decide how your Internet works. Even if you use different telecoms, our nation uses the most Internet, if we start editing the net to corporate whim, it will effect you all. Site will lose American visitors, which will cut their funding and make them close, or they will simply not feel the need to keep going if the majority of their audience in America is restricted from seeing their sites.

Oh come on… do you really think that any business would try and make money at the same time they throttle access to their own services?

    [cough] Netflix [cough]
