How to get rid of an alligator…Not!

Right…. No, this guy from Michigan didn’t dump it in the sewers, or turn it into a handbag. When he got tired of his alligator he decided to beat it up with a hammer and leave it in a park.

Ye, OK then! Imagine having a stroll in a park and finding a half dead 1.2m alligator splashing about in the pond. What’s even more mind boggling is what the hell was going through this guy’s head.

The man was later found and arrested and shall be face animal cruelty charges. The alligator has been turned over to Mason County animal control officers for protection.

Try to kill it in the park, no one will notice surely. If you don’t manage to kill, leave it for dead in a public place. That’s smart.

    Hey! Live in that county, and we are proud of our rednecks! :) Actually, it’s kind of creepy we have alligators running around like that – especially since it’s not the first time it’s happened :S.

    Here in Los Angeles someone dumped two aligators into a lake last year. and Los Angeles is no where neare redneck so it was strange. They went through numerous attempts to capture them. It had cost the city over $50,000, including overtime for having a park ranger and lifeguard on duty around the clock. There was a 7-foot one and a 5-foot one, both caught and brought to the Los Angeles Zoo :)
