How Dell’s don’t sell

I don’t what all the fuss is about over MacBook’s & MacBook Pro’s running hot. I have yet to see one or proof of one having burst into flames.

From the Department of Bad PR Moments: The Inquirer posted some startling pictures of what is supposedly a Dell laptop bursting into flames at a conference in Japan. Laptops are running so hot that they now may be considered an incendiary device. Soon they won’t let you bring one on an airplane.

Confirmed real or not, you have to admit that MacBook’s don’t seem so hot (temperature wise) anymore right?

My MacBook Pro did that a couple times. The battery exploded right after it sent out a 12 foot long arc of lightning, causing an area effect damage of 2d8 and igniting the gas station pumps. I had to roll for dexterity to dive for cover and I only took 2d4 worth of damage.

The MacBook Pro escaped unharmed, but it had time to meditate and memorize new spells, so I don’t know what it’ll do next. I can tell you one thing, when I was hiding in shadows, I saw a windows logo on it’s screen, so I think I’ll have to prepare for an encounter with the dreaded blue screen of death!

look how archaic that laptop in the foreground on the left is. 4:3 screen, hella nasty, looks like you needed to take a time machine to buy that thing.

Maybe the Dell became AWARE it was a Dell, and committed suicide. THe laptop in the foreground is going to follow lead!

No, there’s no need to use a table cloth (of which there are loads) to suffocate it.
How about taking some photos for Flicker? “OMG, the laptop’s burning, quick get the camera!!”

I saw something on TUAW a while ago where an iBook burst into flames. But my MacBook Pro is HOT. So hot, its burnt my legs, through my jeans. I am now placing it on my laptop case.
