Can I still run photoshop & other programs if I use this?

Yep, I just installed Vista yesterday and all my previous XP programs work like a charm, some even better . . .

And yes you read me right, I installed it yesterday. and then they release it today, what a bummer . . .

I would HIGHLY reccomend a Download Manager because my download has been interrupted about 5 times already, if anyone finishes downloading it and would be so kind as to upload it as a torrent, I would be eternally grateful!

Or, if you do not have the luxury of a DVD Burner, I installed it via an external USB 2.0 drive, worked like a charm . . .

NOTE: THE ISO DOES NOT NEED TO BE BURNED TO A DVD!

Although, you can burn it if you want to.

Just use something like Daemon-Tools or (if you want to pay a bit to get a lot more) Alcohol 120% (Google them) to mount it to a DVD. Mounting is a way of ‘pretending’ like the CD/DVD is in the drive, and it will remain there while booting. It also helps save on CD/DVD’s :)

I reccomend using a USB drive, like I have, and am using.

I only use one partition; if I install it do I need to reinstall ALL of my programs again? And does anyone know if there are problems with certain graphics cards? Is 512 RAM enough for Vista? Does it work with Sims 2?

Ummm if you haven’t installed Vista yet, you have to realize this is a Beta. It works pretty good, but you have to do a clean install. If you can’t backup everything to a separate partition or drive don’t even try this, you will most likely lose all your data. This isn’t quite good enough to use as your permanent OS and therefore you will need to reinstall XP after 2 weeks or have a dual boot setup. If that doesnt make sense to you… please wait until the retail Vista is released to try this.

Do we have a torrent file yet? Once I get this downloaded, I plan to install it on my Macbook Pro and post results.

i really hope some one makes a torrent file, i havent been able to even reach the download page yet, all the servers are crammed, i was hoping to get it downloaded by the time i get my laptop back this afternoon. (3 hrs LOL)

For those that do not know about Office 12 (2007) Beta, I recommend getting it. The beta will be good until Feb. next year! By then, the gold version (or a later beta) should be out… Just a suggestion!

So far, Vista is sorta great, but no glass for me until i find a way :(

Well I’ve got the DVD downloaded, burned, and started the install, but am hung up at the product key. I tried signing up for one, but apparently “you have already received the maximum number of product keys”. So I cannot progress until I get one. Any suggestions?

Someone please help…

I download the Vista Beta ISO, and burned it to a dvd. When i stick it into the machine in which i want it installed, nothing happens. If i browse to the dvd drive, all it sais is there’s the .iso on the disk. If i tell it to boot to the iso’ed disk, i get a dos screen saying “PC Boot”, then it brings me to a command propmt. Could this be from me telling it to burn the dvd as a bootable disk? Any idea why a installer wont come up when the disk is inserted in the drive?

Wow, I came here to look for a way to legally get a product key (since I joined CPP before it closed, but I lost mine), and at first this seemed like a legit place for help. Somehow it just changed dramatically into demands for product keys. Remember people: they do not give out product keys for a REASON!!! IF YOU ILLEGALLY RECIEVE A PRODUCT KEY, YOU WILL BE PUNISHED BY THE COURTS!!!

People i just finished downloading vista onto my laptop and used a special crack file,in 2 minutes of using it vista rejected the crack and commenced a self shutdown,my whole system crashed and does not alllow me access into any thing,be warned about whom ur seeding it from,its realy dangerous
