Apple says “Oops”

Apparently Apple has officially released a statement about the heat complaints on some of thier MacBooks.

Some MacBook computers may appear to be running too warm, with the fan running consistently and heat emanating from the top and/or the bottom of the computer.

Turns out though its no thermal glue, and no its not because it runs OS X… someone in the warehouse apparently forgot to take some of the plastic protective pieces off the vents… go figure.

Some MacBooks may have left the factory with a thin piece of clear plastic covering the rear vent. This is used in the factory to prevent dust from getting into your computer. If your MacBook has the plastic still over the vent, simply remove and discard it.

So if you have a MacBook and its getting a bit warm for you legs, and fingers… take a look at that back vent and make sure your new baby can breath ;)
