10-year erection results in a $400,000 settlement

This really happened. I’m still in shock as I attempt to accept the fact that some men had no other choice than to undergo surgery for steel & plastic implants in order to achieve an erection.

A former handyman has won more than $400,000 in a lawsuit over a penile implant that gave him a 10-year erection.

Charles “Chick” Lennon, 68, received the steel and plastic implant in 1996, about two years before Viagra went on the market. The Dura-II is designed to allow impotent men to position the penis upward for sex, then lower it.

But Lennon could not position his penis downward. He said he could no longer hug people, ride a bike, swim or wear bathing trunks because of the pain and embarrassment.

$400,000 is all this poor man received. For some reason, I believe Mr Lennon should have received a larger settlement. Any objections?

    Considering other claims, 400k is a little. I wouldn’t be able to endure 3 days in that position, let alone 10 years! He must have had problems when it came to peeing as well. What a night mare :S

    At least the missus was happy.

    He should be glad to receive what he did. That kind of surgery is a huge waste and generally idiotic, as are things like Viagara.

    That he experienced an unwanted side affect is not shocking, and he was probably warned of such possible undesired side affects prior to surgery.

    Only $400k? Every day I see headlines of people getting millions for much more stupider reasons… The lady that got millions for the “pain and suffering” for taking part in the company exercise that involved the play-spanking with a competitors real estate sign. Along with everone else inthe company including women. (I wish I could find that article)

    Not to mention the idiots that sue someone when they spill coffee on their lap because it was hot…
