Wait, you make HOW MUCH?!

Everybody wants to know what everyone else is making. Well this website culls through public information and posts how much the executive staff of almost every major company makes.

Is this corporate greed, or just compensation?

See how you size up

Sickening that someone else is successful? I think it’s more sickening how much jealousy and envy turn into hatred over someone else’s salary and compensation.

Would YOU turn down that much money if offered to you for your services?

not the first time i wouldn’t

    Boohiss(aka Capitalist pig),

Just because someone is offered and/or given that amount of money doesn’t make it any less corpulent.

I believe the author is simply offering a relative perspective on some of the more gross aspects of capitalism in this country.

We have soldiers dying everyday who make .001% a year that these corporate pigs make in interest a month. These guys have multiple homes, take multiple vacations, and are essentially set for life.

A police officer who risks his life and handles all the trash in your city from washing up on your likely lower middle class suburb makes $30,000 on average, Certainly their worth to society far at weighs a 50 something republican pig who’s greatest worry is that of being caught in a previous year vehicle.

Moral of the story, just because economics provides for these types of wages doesn’t make it alright. These people are greedy pieces of shit for the most part who could care less about anyone other then themselves and their toys.

One day someone will change that, I just hope I’m around to see it.

Measuring someone’s worth to society by what they have to worry about is ignorant. True the police officer probably has a harder life but that does not at all mean he affects society more then an executive does. That single executive could probably change society more by picking his nose then any police officer could by making a record arrest. Executives are paid based on the amount of weight they carry not on how hard their life is. When that changes the entire human dynamic will fall apart if you are to blind to see that then please go start utopia.

    Mike,

You don’t strike me as the most intelligent person in the world, but surely you do not believe all executives have the ability to make ground breaking decisions which have the potential to reverberate through society? Bill Gates, maybe. Warren Buffet, probably. The 60,000 others… don’t think so.

Also, executives are not paid “based on the amount of weight they carry”(I don’t even know what the hell that means). No, instead they are paid like athletes. They are essentially bid upon. Whether the exec brings in money or loses money is irrelevant(perhaps in regards to retention, but certainly not when it comes to a contractual salary).

It is dictated that every company needs a CEO, and that the CEO gets paid the most. There are no barometers for worth or importance, just whoever is on top makes the most. It’s archaic and it’s been done for centuries(Kings, Religious Leaders, Politicians).
