This explains the British smile

The explaination for Austin Power smiles:

More than 60 percent of Britons use items such as screwdrivers, scissors and earrings to remove food from between their teeth, according to a survey published Friday. The National Dental Survey found that, when it came to oral hygiene, people used whatever was close to hand to pick their teeth.

The survey also found that 23 percent of people chose to leave food stuck between their teeth, increasing the risk of gum disease and bad breath, according to the foundation which promotes oral health.

I’m not sure what puts a smirk on my face more, the idea that Brits grab anything near them to pick their teeth, or the fact that food is left to fill the gaps because of sheer “laziness”.

And how did they survey this piece of s~~t? asking 20 people on a caravan site in Brighton?

There’s no numbers there. 60% could be of 10 people surveyed from just about anywhere in Britain.

Taken with a pinch of salt.
