Radio DJ fired for dressing too sexy

Don’t adjust your web browser, you are reading the title correctly.

A female radio presenter has been given a boot – for dressing too sexily on air. The 25-year-old DJ, known as Lady Ray, is now taking Radio Bremen to an industrial tribunal.

She said: “My boss told me that my skirts were too short and my tops too low.

“But I don’t understand it, it’s not as if any of the listeners can see me and my breasts don’t speak into the microphone.”

This news is fake. It was published by the german newspaper “BILD”, which is known for twisting the truth. Sadly, some international news magazines didn’t check the backgrounds. More info here (in german): http://www.heise.de/tp/r4/artikel/22/22766/1.html

Sorry, wanted to say “Some international news magazines picked it up without doing their jobs, ehm, checking the backgrounds. One more site on this issue, in german as well: http://www.bildblog.de/?p=1406

It doesn’t really take the cake for stupid though.. if you dress to provacatively in the workplace you can be fired for it! It doesn’t matter if the listeners don’t see it thats the dumbest excuse I’ve ever heard are the listeners the only humans involved in radio??? ugh

So she was really fired for one reason… her aggressive and extreeemly explicit as well as insulting lyrics she uses in her rapsongs which she does for a living or privately, I don’t remember exactly.
Anyways, her boss heard the songs on the internet and laid her off…

BILD did a big thing because of course she is bragging how she is too sexy for her boss, and that that is why she was fired…

Even if she was fired for dressing “sexy,” she should be. Whether the listeners see it or not, her co-workers shouldn’t have to put up with somebody who might only be wearing a skirt and G-string.

I don’t see how it would be stupid, either. :-\

I don’t care – I’m not interested unless there are some photos!

    True that :D

Even if she was fired for that… If I have to show up to work with pants and a polo to keep my job, she shouldn’t be allowed to wear what she did… what happened to equal treatment? Put that woman in dress pants and a polo too

dudes, what’s wrong with miniskirts and tops ? don’t tell me we’re all decency here… pffftt I would give her a raise, promotion and take her with me home ;)

Where are you living guys that you have so many rules how to be dressed in the workplace?!?! This should be free decision for everyone in the free country. Here we can wear whatever we want. One company ones tried to put some rules on clothing and it was taken to court immediately.
