Memo to self, Don’t extort MySpace ON MySpace

Two kids were arrested facing “illegal computer access and attempted extortion” after they threatened to publish an easy way to hack in and steal personal information about users of MySpace, unless it paid them $150,000.

After writing about the data theft of MySpace users ON MySpace, they were removed from the site and then threatened to publish the hack information out on the internet.

Cue the Police, and the rest is history.

This might be the same thing that was written about in 2600 magazine…using CSS…cross site linking…anyway…

    Absolute Bonkers. Haha!

I never even tried to crack parts of myspace open because it seems like such a wasted hunk of time…. “oh snap I found out Billy and Trish hooked up before everyone else in my high school gym class!” … not worth the effort… although with some CSS fun we have reaked havoc on some friends who left their profile online at my place…

nothing screams awesome like a blank page with my little ponies as the background of a friend aptly named “metal doug”…. trying to use cheap lame ass script kiddie BS to extort money though seems a bit… well…. how old are these kids like 15??

18 and 19…but they might be using their “myspace age”…so they might be 14-15 really
