Lethal dose leaves condemned man squirming

Eerily strange. I can’t imagine what the rest of the room might have been thinking when this man sat up to express his own observation of the lethal doses failure.

A DOUBLE murderer was put to death in Ohio – but not until after one of his veins had collapsed, causing the condemned man to sit up and tell his executioners “It’s not working”, officials say. [...] A spokeswoman, Andrea Dean, said the execution was delayed about 90 minutes because technicians had trouble initially finding a site in Clark’s arm for the intravenous line carrying the chemicals. Then shortly after the poisons were supposed to have been pumping into his body, she said he sat up saying: “It’s not working. It’s not working.”

It sounded like this man was prepared to die. I can’t imagine what would go through the mind of an individual who wasn’t.

its not even close to strange

My addition to the story would have been

“And then the security guard figured out a solution to the problem. One 9mm round to the head, end of problem.”

  • Emory

And THAT is one of the reasons I am against the death penalty

He should have gotten up and been:

“-insert officer name here- I’ve come to haunt yoooouuuu”

I would rather have my tax dollars go to executing someone rather than paying for life in prison if they do no deserve to live

lol David that woulda been hilarious!

You probably don’t know, but it happens that innocent are put to life sentence… I’m sure a little googlin’ will help you find some cases. In the meantime, you could have a look at “Dancer in the dark” (Lars von Trier).
