How-To: Convert DRM protected audio files

DRM (Digital Rights Management) locked files can be such a pain. Unfortunately, the number of helpful – albeit free – utilities floating around which promise successful conversions are a needle in a haystack. Fortunately for Windows users, Tunebite offers successful conversions of files. While the utility does work, it’s important to note that the luxury of unlocked DRM files comes at a price. Once paid for and installed, Tunebite offers the following functionality:

• convert protected M4V to MP4, M4V to WMV, M4V to AVI or M4V to MPEG;
• convert protected WMV to unprotected MP4, WMV;
• Record AA to MP3, WMA, OGG;
• Decrypt M4b to MP3, OGG and WMA;
• Convert M4P to MP3, WMA and OGG;
• Convert protected AAC, WMA to MP3.
