Download Windows Media Player 11

Why someone would want to download and install Windows Media Player 11 is beyond me. Care to share your own insight or feelings as to why someone would? I would much rather stick with VLC. Even if the video file is encoded in such a manner requiring the latest WMP, it probably means I don’t need to watch it.

  • Requires Windows Genuine Advantage
  • 1. Extract the file to a new folder.
  • 2. Double click “Run First”.exe to install Media Player 11 codec.
  • 3. Double click “Run Second”.exe to install Media Player 11.

You want to know why WMP bothers me so much? It’s because malware spreading bastards can spread garbage the minute a video is opened requesting a specific codec online. I’m not speaking from my own experience, but think of the millions of individuals who don’t think twice before accepting a codec install.

    So how do we install this on a pirated copy of windows? I’ve been searching for a crack for the turd that is WGA for hours, and it still won’t install :(

    Way to go M$, I think I’ll stick to Winamp.

    Tka you broke my heart. How is it so stupid that I myself would not match a movie which requires specific software for playback. Do you see .MPG limited to any certain browser? Do you see AVI? Why would anyone support movie formats which do not offer the codec for general use? Explain.
