wow thats amazing :D Wish I had a macbook…

There has to be the software floating somewhere.

There were a few claims that it was a fake.

Are there buttons or something on the side of the screen? Otherwise, I don’t see how any software could detect whether you’re hitting part of the screen or not.

Either way, it looks pretty easy to fake.

this is awesome… and as far as software detecting this.. its probably using the same device that the “macsaber” uses…. it just reads the data from that little sensor that detects bumps or inclines and stuff… if it feels a small tap in one direction it jumps…

I really need to sell my laptop and get a macbook now… NOW!

That would be only so fun, until i get paranoid and quickly remove it to stop friends from hitting it when i’m working :)

There’s not “software” but there’s a patch for virtual desktop software (currently, not for Virtue Desktop, but I’m sure it’ll come)

It’s real and I have it! I use a patched version of Desktop manager. The action is triggered by the motion sensor of the HDD. To install it you’ve to download the zip file where the patches are and download a unix program called AMSTracker so it can trigger the action, the you’ve to insert 2 lines in the terminal and you’re ready to go. I’m trying to make some kind of automator action or applescript so it can be easy to use ;)
