The Sidekick 3 see the light of day

The FCC is the best source for leaked product details known to man. You want to know what is coming out next? Head over to FCC.gov. Although a number of documents and pictures are still confidential, there are clear pictures of the front and back in the filing with T-Mobile branding present. The new body has a smooth face that uses resistive buttons hidden below the surface of the phone and trades out the scroll wheel for what appears to be the scroll nub from Apple’s Mouse Mouse. The back shows a 1.3 Megapixel camera with flash, memory card slot and removable battery. In addition to these physical improvements the Sidekick 3 will have quad-band GSM as well as Bluetooth. Translation, there will be higher quality nude pictures of your favorite celebrity shortly, since we know how much they love to do that.

    it fucking figures…. I wait and wait and wait and hear no news, I get fed up with GSM connections and go buy a Treo 700w for the EV-DO speeds ………. the next morning I log onto uneasy and find the FCC approves SKIII…… god dammit!

    oh well… it will still be on the “EDGE” network… so slow downloads will still plague the thing…. and that new keyboard doesn’t quite look up to par with my old SKII … anyways…. go figure, and good find… wish you would have found it yesterday ;)

    PS the top picture is upside down… the little nub thing is located on the right side… and the text would appear upside down when closed because they want it to appear right side up when opened ;)

    I’m surprised to see Dan seeing this one through. He always gives me a hard time with GSM. Supposedly CDMA is some sort of magic potion to everyones mobile problems ;)

    I gave this a bit of thought and am simply amazed at your ability to judge ones level of intellect by reading a single post and noticing an obscene word. To make a guess as to say I am unintelligent and unable to be intellectual is a very bold assumption and I suggest you seek employment in the HR field. Someone who can gauge a persons level of intelligence based on reading a few words they have typed is sure to be a shining star on a resume for someone in that field.

    I think it looks more like the “mouse” ball from the IBM Thinkpads back in the days….. would be more convenient I think than the Apple Technology…
