Swedish national [fish] dish banned

Apparently, the Swedes know a thing or two about pickling fish. So much so that airline companies including British Airways and Air France have banned the dish from flights.

The actual grounds for the canned fish being barred from flight [or sold at airports] is the rumor that the cans may explode. As the story pointed out, a ruptured tin can would do no more harm than a shaken soda can. Correct?
