Quick mention…

Just a quick mention…

Spring is here, and after a few months of using our newest template (which will last us for quite some time), we fixed a few little issues that were nagging us. We cleaned up the sidebar a little, made the fonts bigger and easier to read, used a little java for our recent feeds and comments, and ummmm………..

FIXED the comment system to remember you info! Lots of little coding cleanups under the hood, now we are firing on all cylinders! Bigger things to come this week!

eh…. I know everyone is liking it and all, but I have to say I liked the last one more. THis one is good, but liitle things are missings that I enjoyed in the previous version. For instance, the new comments sidebar was up higher, so that as soon as I got on, I could see if anyone has commented on anything and what they said. Also, I used to be able to move my mouse next to the title of posts and be able to see how many comments are on it, and jump straight to them. Finally, I liked the pink “New comments” section. It made it stand out more. Just my two cents. Looks good still though.

the number of comments on a post have been moved below post titles. the span that i had enabled previously has a quirk in that longer post titles would push content forcing the title to wrap. i’m not sure i understand what you meant with the pink “new comments” section.

The pink and blue don’t really fit in now with the gray…the whole site seems a bit dreary and the bold text just doesn’t cut it. I’d recommend sticking to 256 shades of black.

:P .that’s my impersonation of Simon C. today. But yeah, the pink and blue really don’t fit in.

Hey, I like it. I think the colors make it different, not like all those other sites. The bold text allows for quick, easy viewing, sorta like a BAM effect. Though, I do miss the blockquotes, but Im warming up to not seeing them around, may I suggest a different blockquote text color, such as that in effect on 5thirtyone? Also, the header links are awesome, “Dicuss and be heard”, genuis, pure genuis, Derek has done it agian. Though, I still love 531 Dark better . . .

But, it still has yet to display my gravatar, I think I’m just going to switch to another one . . .
