Fast OS switching with virtual desktop

How does fast user OS switching sound on a Intel Mac? I think it sounds just dreamy. Check the video out. Everything runs so smoothly. Must add to wishlist.

    How’d he do that?

It’s an OSX desktop running Parellels – which allows you to virtualize multiple OS’s – and a virtual desktop app. The individual simply assigned a different operating system to each virtual desktop. The hotkey for swapping desktops allows for fast switching between different operating systems.

    Derek,

Could you please explain what “Parellels” are…

I’m buying a Macbook Pro this week and I am really interested in this fast switching.

We covered a brief post on Parallel here. Essentially, it’s nothing more than virtualization software.
