Construction signs hacked

signs hacked

Someone, or a group of someone’s in or around the University of Toronto has figured out how to hack the construction signs and is using them for environmental messages. Not only the ones shown here proclaiming “Don’t Driveâ€Â? and “Take Your SUV Back to Detroitâ€Â? but also advertising a campus event on sustainability.

A few comments in the original post complained that such nefarious activity could be considered terrorism. Any thoughts?

Terrorism? Well, I see where you could go with this. You could possibly launch people off of bridges with a simple road sign… that would definitely suck

I saw some guys do the same thing on HackTV you can from DDP Hack Radio

I think its pretty funny. If I had any of those signs around me I would do it.

Terrorism, as in “that f*cker just hacked our equipment, this ‘ll show him” and “what civil rights?”…
Oh yeaaaahhhh, a vision of the future…

There are other causes of action open in law before terrorismtrespass to chattels, perhaps? But certainly not terrorism.
