Break PDF DRM easily with FireFox and Google

Gmail’s ‘View as HTML’ functionality allows you to view a wide range of attachments inside your browser – it seems like it doesn’t respect the copying restrictions defined inside PDF files, allowing you to copy or print them without any problem (some conversion related layout issues aside).

It is a little bit of a hassle to email yourself a PDF that you want to strip the DRM from, so there is a Firefox plugin that accomplishes the same thing. Enjoy! [via]

I actualy always had this plugin. It is very helpful because it gives you the option to open it in the Adobe program, download it, or HTML view if Google cached it

If you have access to Linux, the applications XPDF and KPDF also bypass PDF restrictions, allowing you to copy text etc where that is not allowed, but now everyone has an easy solution.
