AOL to compete head on with MySpace

The bloated beleaguered behemoth known as AOL had decided to jump into the online community business.

This confirmed new service should be available within the next two weeks, and the only available information from AOL is that “it will be kick-ass!”

I’m sure when it is developed, AOL will not be able to get out of their own way, and manage to ruin anything they put out. Case and point, has ANYONE used AIM mail – SHEESH! [via]

    I was peeved when they bought out Mailblocks though.. anyone else remember that (Mailblocks)

    Hehe, same here, what a GREAT system for filtering spam. I did sign up for AOL Mail, but have I used it? Nope. I haven’t even logged into it since the first week of opening the account… I wonder if there’s any spam…
