Six stand out from millions
Webuser reports that according to a recent case study released by Directgov, web users – despite 76 million unique websites – frequent six on a regular basis.
Three quarters of people questioned say the internet is indispensable to their daily lives and more than nine out of ten (95 per cent) say they go online with a specific destination in mind. People are now using the internet more smartly, visiting a handful of destination websites that have emerged as ‘Supersites’ due to their importance to people’s lives.
Three years ago I would have found these results hard to believe. Fortunately, “todays” internet offers users robust “portals” which often aggregate information from a handful of individual sites. Aside from *ahem* UNEASYsilence, what sites do you most often frequent? And of those sites, which serve as a means of collecting information from others sites?
