Mars Rover begining to fail

Years past the rovers lifespan, it seems that the Mars rover “Spirit” has lost the functionality of its front wheel.

The robotic vehicle is now dragging the wheel as it moves to a slope where it can get maximum sunshine on its solar cells to sustain it through the winter.

Now the race is on to try to get the rover away from Mars cold winter, to hopefully allow Spirit to last yet another duty cycle.
