How-To: Force Firefox to display fresh Google results
The following will only work for Firefox users. In addition to the Firefox browser, you will also need the Add n Edit Cookies extension. Once installed follow the steps below:
- To be sure that the new cookie is activated, clear any existing Google cookies by going to Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > View Cookies. Search for and delete any existing Google cookies.
- Next, go to Tools > Cookie Editor. In the editor window, click ‘Add’ and enter the following parameters (Remove the line break before pasting the ‘Content’ below):
Name: PREF
Content: ID=fb7740f107311e46:TM=1142683332:
LM=1142683332:S=fNSw6ljXTzvL3dWu
Domain: .google.com
Path: ⁄ - Set a cookie expiration date for some time in the distant future OR leave the cookie to expire at the end of your session (Google will revert back to its default).
- ‘Save’ and ‘Close’ the cookie editor and search Google as usual.

UPDATE: International Google users will need to make a minor adjustment in order of the cookie hack to work. Depending on your locality, rather than using .google.com for the domain, you may need to change the domain to your international version of Google ie: .google.bg, .google.nl, ect. [Thanks Mitko]
