Get your shades out – Eclipse time

Tomorrow, Wednesday March 29th, the world over will experience a total solar eclipse.

One Indian paper advised pregnant women not to go outside during the eclipse to avoid having a blind baby or one with a cleft lip. Food cooked before the eclipse should be thrown out afterward because it will be impure and those who are holding a knife or ax during the eclipse will cut themselves, the Hindustan Times added.

Naturally, the worlds skeptics have to chime in with their words of wisdom. Cleft lip? Come on.

    Ummm… it won’t be visible from the United States. And since the United States is part of the world (it was the last time I checked anyway) it is not “the world over”.

    what’s wrong with me saying the “world over”? correct me but the eclipse will be seen worldwide via print and media. this isn’t american ego talking..

    how often does an eclipse happen? what am i going to say? the eclipse for half the world? get your heads out of the sand and open your eyes.
