I think the GoDaddy is almost in reply to Janet’s accident…

oh you’re gonna hear about it

I think they had their chances. Jackson had two good looks at the endzone at the end of the first half which he didnt convert because he stepped out of bounds.

The Hawks controled the tempo the first half and I thought they moved away from passing to Jackson. They should have stuck to what they were doing.

Alexender never got into his groove. He didnt impact the game like a MVP should.

The tight end had some key dropped passes that could have resulted in big gains.

They had so many flags for holding etc that resulted in many key plays being called back. ( a couple questionable calls, but most on the money)

They had a redzone opportunity that ended in an interception then a score for the Steelers.

The Hawks had their chance. They blew it. I predicted the Hawks in the superbowl this season. I predict they wont make it next season. Thats what happens when you get cocky and you PROMISE a victory. You Choke. haha Thats gonna be Hasselbacks curse.

Alexander contract is also up. Let the Free Agency and Negotiations BEGIN!!! MUWHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh, and to be a bit nice. I really like your theme here. The dark one is spectacular. Let us know when you plan to release!

oh come on! the game was a fluke. the refs were calling holdings left and right tossing the flags in the air like a flower girl prancing down the aisle at a wedding. it was the superbowl for crying out loud. and if anyone tries to argue that the game was called fairly and that there was no bias, explain the reason why there were so many damn steelers commercials airing. i mean, they had the quarter back posing with the trophy even before the 2nd half kicked off…

    anyway.. game over.

thanks for the kudos on the theme. i’m in the process of cleaning up the single column theme for public distribution. i’ll release it over on 5thirtyone.com.

the HQ of the company I work for is located in Pittsburgh and we had a bet that if we won, they would wear Seahawk colors for a day and if they won we wear Steeler colors.
***There is no way in HELL i am going to wear those colors after the way they won. The winners of a game like that should be decide by the play of the game. NOT BY THE OFFICIATING!!!***

Regardless of officiating. Seahawks had their chances to win. The refs had nothing to do 2 missed Field Goals. Nothing to do with poor clock managment by the Seahawks and the end of the first half. Nothing to do with WR’s not getting their feet down in bounds. Nothing to do with Jermey Stevens dropping passes that hit him in the numbers. While the Steelers did not play well, the Seahawks played worse and regardless of officiating, that is all it comes down to.

thank you… see someone else has some sense in them. i’m tired of hearing from steelers fans rubbing in the win when the officials won the game. not the players.

“…and that there was no bias, explain the reason why there were so many damn steelers commercials airing.”

I do not really know if it was bias from the NFL but more like bias from the media. Pittsburgh went through the same thing when they played the Colts. Everyone wanted Peyton to win, they kept talking about the Dungy tragedy and how big a win would be. That was a feel good story. That is what sells. I think they had the same thing here with Bettis not retiring and coming back for another season, then go to the Super Bowl as a 6th seed, etc., etc.. A young second year QB leading his team to the Super Bowl. They were just playing the feel good story.

On a side note, I am a Steelers fan and for Porter to come out after the Colts game and say that the game was rigged so Manning would win was ludicrous and for Seahawks fans to say the same thing after this game is also ludicrous. Both games involved bad officiating and the NFL will have to address it in the off season.

PS: Great site, I check it out daily!

The whole Super Bowl experience this year has been a disgrace. At the top of the list has been the officials (who supposedly are the cream of the crop). Their overall performance was horrible. The Super Bowl representing the culmination of the NFL year deserves the best treatment by the league. The coverage was slanted toward the Steelers from the start. I can live with that. But the actions of the officials was insulting to all lovers of the game- no matter what city you live in. For the NFL to release a statement saying that they were satisfied with the officials actions is almost laughable if it weren’t so insulting. RON

I think that the NFL made that statement because most of the penalties were actual penalties. (Except for the Hasselbeck tackle, I do not know what happened there) The push off in the endzone was a push off. Would I have complained if it was not called, no. The holds, I thought were pretty blatent. It was textbook holding. If the guy has you beat, you cannot grab him once he is past you (even with one arm). Would I have complained there if it was not called, no. Funny thing is to me one of the calls I thought they did miss was the first Stevens drop. He caught the ball, took 2 steps, then was hit and fumbled. This gets down to one of those “football move” type of calls. Nobody seems to bat an eye at that one because it did not go against Seattle, I guess. I think it is laughable for Holmgren to come out a blame the refs when he did a horrible job of coaching in very key moments of the game.
