Spray on contraceptive

As if wearing a band-aid-like sticker wasn’t convenient enough (as opposed to a daily pill or semi-annual shot):

Results of a Phase 1 clinical trial, conducted by Acrux last year under a development agreement with the Population Council, showed that a once-daily application of Nestorone® MDTS® provides the level of Nestorone® in the blood known to be effective for contraception. A Phase 2 trial, scheduled to start in the second half of 2006, aims to demonstrate that Nestorone® MDTS® controls ovulation. Acrux will seek commercial partners for the remaining steps in global commercialisation.

Please don’t place this item next to my mouth spray.

HAH.. how would you know whats convenient when it comes to contraceptive :)

how do they test these trial products, give em to random women and tell them to f*ck to their hearts content and try and make some babies?? And then check nine months later to see if anything pops out???

I dont see how this could come off, i think its a safer bet just to pop pills and be sure that its in ur system rather than worrying if you sprayed yourself with enough of the spray to have a high level of the chemical in your blood

What would be *real* convenient is if they could make one that worked for guys. Take control of our reproductive rights and all that stuff feminists go on about. If they can put it in the form of a hamburger, so much the better.

hey, i know a thing or two about contraceptives… well ahem, i know of them.

and to strix, i’m with you. i recall posting something on uneasy a few months back about research being done for a male version of the pill which would make us shoot blanks. stuff that in a hamburger or taco and we’re good to go. i’ll have to go digging for the link for a repost.

    LOL… men… sheesh.

I’m not sure how they test contraceptives. (never thought about it)

I do know that they make many different kinds because a womans body reacts differently to different ones.

For instance… the patch was too much for me and made me puke my guts out when I put it on.
