Homicides mapped using Google Maps API
I usually find myself killing time when I am insanely bored by browsing known addresses with Google Maps. Innocent and mildly entertaining. At the same time, Google Maps is being used as a tool to inform Rochestor inhabitants of previous homicides.
The Rochestor Democrat Chronicle harnesses the power of Google’s open API to present localized data representing Rochester homicides. The service eerily includes victims, date of murder, age, and cause of death.
